Common questions

The backup can't be altered or deleted, including by an attacker who's compromised your systems, so ransomware can't reach or encrypt the copy.
Microsoft is responsible for platform uptime, not for backing up your data against accidental deletion, ransomware, or retention gaps, that's why Microsoft 365 backup is a separate, deliberate layer.
Recovery time depends on the disaster recovery configuration selected. This is defined and tested as part of the DR add-on, not a fixed number for every business.
